ABOUT

The Lehigh Valley Patriot Flames has been a premier travel fastpitch organization in the Lehigh Valley area for decades. Selfless men and women have donated their time over several decades to keep the LV Patriot Flames strong and dedicated to coaching area athletes and developing them  into great softball players.

Several years ago, the LV Flames joined forces with Allentown's Patriot Park to become their youth program and insert "Patriot" into the name.  This partnership allows the Flames to call the iconic Patriot Park our home.  Flames teams often host scrimmages at "Pates" in the historic setting of Eastern PA softball's epicenter.  Today, Patriot Park helps support the Flames organization's ability in creating, maintaining, and developing young players into strong competitors and positive teammates.

The Flames offer something no other regional team can.  We remain competitive, but boast affordability and transparency. Organizationally we unite for events, but teams remain independent families so players can learn to play for each other. Players aren't ripped from one team to support another. We develop players to make their scholastic teams and support their success during other seasons. For our most competitive teams, the Flames offer college looks and training for players seeking the next level. We don't falsely promise D1 placement to build our rosters, but we do promise to give players the tools to reach their individual goals.

We have been a part of the Flames family for the past 7 years and we truly feel blessed to have had the opportunity as a parent and as a coach to be a part of this organization.  I have had a special opportunity to know the organization as both a parent and as a coach.

As a parent, the financial transparency at the Flames is what every organization should strive to achieve.  We know where every penny of our investment into the team is spent and we have complete transparency of the team’s budget and status.  From a competitive standpoint, knowing that my daughter can be part of a team that is competitive at the highest national levels, while at the same time getting a holistic approach to development as a student-athlete and young woman gives us the ultimate satisfaction as parents.  Completely separating myself from my dual role, there is no place I would be a part of as a parent.

From a coaching perspective, the organization strikes a great balance between autonomy and organizational structure.  As a head coach, I have complete freedom to chart the course that is most appropriate for my specific team, while having organizational administrative support and support of great coaches at every level.  At the Flames, teams are families, and I have had the great pleasure of getting to know great softball families that have come together to accomplish our unified goals.  Coming to the Flames organization was the best choice I could have made as both a parent and a coach.
